A somewhat-happy place for singles Overall, I think eHarmony really is trying to be helpful, not just gain oodles of money by aiding the search for love. And, as evidenced by their commercials and reports, several thousand members have gotten married and seem to be going strong. In a world where relationships are constantly cracking apart, it is important to base them on similar beliefs and ideals -- research shows this to be key to long-lasting, effective marriages. If you really believe that online dating is the way to go and you're hoping to find someone like yourself and you've got the cash, eHarmony might be worth checking into. I think eHarmony would be a good option if I were seriously searching for more true love, especially since it's geared more toward marriage-seekers than random-date-finders.
Good in theory, but bad in practice There's such a thing as chemistry, and some don't seem to believe that they can ignite over the internet. Anything that appears to be real will eventually need to be tried out in the real world (i.e. an actual meeting) -- after all, isn't the point to bring people together, first in soul, then in location? I'd like to agree with the skeptics and say that if it isn't face-to-face, it isn't possible. But the truth is that, if two people are honest with each other, they just might spark before they ever meet in person.
Not perfect, but still worth it This site is for people truly interested in meeting someone for an actual relationship. Its not for finding friends, or people to hang out with or to hook up with. This is more for the long term, and as long as you realize that, you should be satisfied with it. Some may say the site doesnt allow you to express yourself, but there is room to do it, you just have to look for it; this site isnt like all the others. Also, now that you have read this review, you have an idea of what it is like. That's important because if you go into it thinking it will be like other sites, particularly as easy and as fun creating your profile, you will be disappointed. But now you know the truth, so you should be prepared.
