| Good prices but delivery can be slow I've only purchased from Circuit City once throughout my online shopping (only because they had the item I wanted cheaper than the other sites I would normally buy from). I purchased a DVD box set. When going through the purchase routine, it was smooth and convenient, and easy to use. The total cost and tax were visible in multiple places, and so, it was easy to tell what the purchase total was going to be. The only problem I had with the purchase form CircuitCity was that the delivery took longer than they said it would, and it was not during any holiday season. Although it was late only two days, I expected it to arrive on time. I would probably only purchase from Circuit City again if they have a good sale or low price on an item than any other consumer electronics site. |
| A good shopping experience overall Circuit City's site was easy to go order from. The only thing I didn't like was having to keep checking back to see if I could pick up the items in the store of my choice. I got tired of waiting to see if the store closest to me would have the items, so I decided to have it shipped. Now the option of having the items shipped were no longer available. Therefore I had to drive to a store much further than I had wanted to. Other than that it was fine. |
| Very satisfied with Circuit City Ordered an HD projector from CircuitCity.com. The projector was over a grand elsewhere but Circuit City had it for just $699 (minus a $200 rebate and an additional rebate from the manufacturer for a free projector screen). The manufacturer rebate took wayyyy to long to process, but after a few complaints and email, Circuit City decided to honor the rebate themselves. Never thought I'd be commending this particular company after my earlier in store experiences. Thank you Circuit City for honoring your manufacturer rebates. |
| Horrible shopping experience Bought a digital camera from Circuit City, I ordered online, it came quite fast, no problem there. But it turned out to be broken. I called their customer service number immediately. They wanted me to get it repaired, they said it was warranteed. I never used it, I just wanted a simple exchange. They told me to go to the store and exchange it. Except the local store closed and the closest one was far away from my house. I ask if they would send another one out and I would give them the broken one to the delivery man. They couldn't do that. They said if I needed it right away, to exchange it at the store. It isn't worth the trouble them put me through to shop there again. They make it sound so easy to just go to the store. |
